DCTC Community Member Guidelines

Before getting started, please review the guidelines below so you know when to post your introduction (Tuesdays!) to the group and other important member information.

  • On Tuesdays ONLY, members are invited to post promotional information which includes: introductions, practice offerings (including new practice announcements, new team members and jobs) office space for rent, blogs you wrote, interviews you did and workshops/groups/trainings you are offering, services, tools, support groups and other useful healing resources during times of world crisis.
  • Because we have so many messages that post to the list every day we ask you to think carefully before posting a response to ‘in search of’ queries.
  • If you want to share promotional news on a day other than Tuesday, head over to our Facebook group and post your news there.
  • Referrals: If you are looking for a referral, please put the geographical location in the subject line.
  • If something is on your mind and/or you have a strong reaction or negative opinion towards someone else’s post, take a little time before responding. If you still feel strongly and want to post a comment to the list, consider how it will sound.  Our goal is to maintain a community where everyone feels safe to express themselves and be listened to with kindness and respect. If you are unsure that your post adheres to these or any of the guidelines, please contact Jen Kogan at jenko108@gmail.com so we can figure it out together.
  • DCTC Guidelines for posts and communication on the listserv:
    • Posts should be thoughtful and written in clear language absent of derision.
    • Posts will not include divisive or inflammatory language.
    • Members will respond to others’ posts with kindness, compassion, and respect.
    • Members will avoid discussing politics.
    • Posts that include microaggression or unkindness are unacceptable.
  • Need information about a therapist or doctor? Post your request to the group. If you read the post and have a negative opinion about the person mentioned, you are encouraged to email the person who posted offline. If you have something positive or neutral to say, feel free to post.
  • Off-Topic posts related to childcare, items for sale or other services that support us are welcome. Just put “off-topic” in the subject line of your message.
